Whiteknights Campus Bioblitz 2024

Two members of the University are organising a Bioblitz for staff and students on campus in May and June this year.
This will be part of a European competition called the ICA Biodiversity Challenge. The BioBlitz runs from May to the 28th June. The organisers would love it if you could help out by submitting records from campus so they can thrash (in a friendly way) our peers on the continent with our species count.

The Bioblitz is involving staff and students, but in knowledge that many local residents use the campus for wildlife spotting, Earley Environment Group members can upload observations, and if they are from the campus, they will count!

Here are some slides about the method for uploading observations. Feel free to start using the app ‘ObsIdentify’ When you use this app within the Whiteknights Campus boundary, and submit species records, your observations will automatically link to the BioBlitz competition.

If anyone wishes to be added to the Bioblitz mailing list to be kept informed of the upcoming events please email Alice or Louise.
