Walk in Moor Copse (BBOWT), May 3rd 200914 people came out to the BBOWT reserve at Moor Copse, Tidmarsh for an afternoon walk on Sunday May 3rd. Happily, the Bluebells were still in full flower and made a lovely sight especially splashed with the white and yellow of Stitchwort and Yellow Archangel. The Early Purple orchids were also much admired. Butterflies were in short supply as it was rather overcast until the final leg of the walk. However we did see 2 Roe deer which was a bonus. Our circular route took us along the river Pang, through the woods and 5 acre field into the recently purchased extension which consists of woods, copses and meadows. There was a massive fund raising drive to buy this land 2 years ago, and with donations from the public and various grant giving bodies, the Trust is now the proud owner of an additional 70 acres!
